The Course
Biology at Issaquah High School is a two-semester course that will introduce you to the major ideas that make up the study of life and living organisms. We hope you leave our courses with an understanding of the role we play in (and our obligation to) our Earth system, the complex processes and structures that enable us to live and maintain balance (and how we may become out of balance), how species make more of themselves, how life on Earth has changed over geologic time, and finally how we are interconnected with all other species on Earth.
The topics we will cover, in order of appearance:
-
The Science of Biology
-
The Chemistry of Life
-
Ecology and Human Impact on Earth
-
