About Mrs. Mason

Greetings!

I am so looking forward to working with you (and/or your children) this year - I am BRAND NEW to Issaquah High School as many of you are, so welcome!

I come to you with 13 years of teaching experience in Biology (etc!), a Bachelor of Science in Biology (Cell and Molecular) from the University of Washington and a Master in Teaching from Seattle University. I became national board certified in 2012. Yet every day, there is so much to learn and try. New teachers, old teachers, and my very own students teach me every day the ways I could be better at my craft. We never stop growing.

Outside of school, I team up with my husband to entertain, engage, and keep my little son happy, healthy, and adaptable. I grade/plan/study (on repeat). I enjoy playing volleyball, softball, being outdoors (very, very, much), snowboarding, game nights, bingeable TV, anything social and/or competitive, and we dabble a bit in D&D! (<-- do share if you know!).

I truly look forward to all of our learning experiences this year!
